A campus built in a lush green area providing the much-required calm environment for students and at the same time just a 20-25 mins drive to the city airport and city Centre. This is the fact regarding the Vidya Memorial Institute of Technology, popularly known as VMIT amongst the education fraternity. The institute is among the top colleges in Ranchi, the capital city of Jharkhand State. The state boasts of many high-ranking Polytechnic colleges in which VMIT has a place of its own.

Established in the year 2010, the institute has gained the trust of students and parents alike and the key factors behind the same are varied facilities provided here. Students have access to the highly equipped computer lab, library with relevant material available and well-equipped laboratories. Also, for easing the parent’s tension for the safe accommodation of their wards, VMIT has enough hostels built in the campus itself segregated as per the gender. VMIT management is considerable enough to provide the healthcare facility for the enrolled students. Another high point of the student life at VMIT is the recreational and sports facilities available for all round development of the students.

The institute is providing diploma in 4 fields namely Mechanicals, Electricals, Civil and Electronics. There is a common entrance test “JCECEB Jharkhand Combined Entrance Competitive Examination Board” whose ranking is being considered by the institute. There is also a scholarship test conducted by VMIT to aid the deserving but financially weaker section of the society. The diploma holders in all of these are well placed within industry with company likes Maruti Suzuki, Havells and Jindal Steel. This is mainly possible as VMIT takes pride in its students and has a very active placement cell which make sure that the students get ample opportunities to showcase their caliber. The diploma holder students are also being provided opportunity to further enhance their horizons by pursuing the advance level of diploma or the Undergraduate Engineering Studies.
